Another problem is that...sometimes there are "no projects available"...meaning??? I mean...I dont think thats possible unless the satellite dish itself is maxed out....right? All data is Live?

OK HERES THE DEAL...USED by BOINC: 14.98MB - FREE, AVAILABLE TO BOINC: 9.99GIG - but...obviously...it only works "one project at a time" (astropulse takes more, big projects, etc.) so thats what im saying...if it has all that free space...but its not even CLOSE to maax bandwith then can I run 2 programs at once (or 3,4,5?)

I guess what im saying is that...it can only "process" so much data at a time...the download/upload is limited to the internet speed (but im sure SETI isnt using that much)...it says available to BOINC 20mb but its only using 3.8 or something...maybe I can run more than one at a time???

Not sure what you are looking for Matt. The only thing you might do is add optimized apps for your seti. Other than that not much to do without graphics card or upgraded system. Just keep crunchin.

How do you set up BOINC to use MORE resource? obviously its limited to the speed of your network but...that means (for cable) megabytes PER SECOND and...boinc only downloads slow...i want to accellerate the process u know? Just let me know whats a good setting to use more resource.

Remember, Milkyway is only double precision on GPU's. Collatz is any newer GPU (Approx. 2007+). 4870 on milkyway should be getting between 60-70 K. I'll take it if you're going to get rid of it!!! LOL

woot! I am upgrading my 4870 soon. Nvidia isnt releaseing their "Fermi" Chipsets fast enough, so i think i am going ATI... Which means only Milkyway@home for me. But should double my 4870 easily.
